I Real Dream sono una Tribute Band che nasce a Genova nel Febbraio 1996 con l’idea di riproporre fedelmente la musica dei Genesis (in particolare, ma non solo, del primo periodo, dal 1970 al 1977).

Il gruppo ha all’attivo numerosi concerti in tutto il territorio nazionale. Ha partecipato a prestigiosi eventi musicali, tra cui il festival organizzato da Music for Peace alla Fiera del Mare di Genova (2009), il Winter Rock Vestival di Calavino (TN) (2011), e il FIM (Fiera Internazionale della Musica) di Erba (CO) (2016).

Il 6 Ottobre 2012 al Teatro Govi è stato protagonista dell’evento “Seven stones are back in Genoa”, alla presenza dell'ex chitarrista dei Genesis, Steve Hackett.

Il 19 Settembre 2015, ha partecipato al Genesis Day a Bevagna (PG), evento nazionale dedicato alla musica dei Genesis, nel quale ha diviso il palco con Bernardo Lanzetti, ex cantante della Premiata Forneria Marconi.

Nel 2019 è entrato a far parte del gruppo il nuovo cantante, Paolo Tenerini. Il primo concerto con la nuova formazione si è tenuto il 9 Febbraio 2019 al Teatro Carignano di Genova, e ha ottenuto un ampio consenso di pubblico e critica.

Il 3 Agosto del 2019 la band si è esibita al Parco della Musica di Savignone (GE), alla presenza del primo road-manager dei Genesis, Richard Macphail, in occasione della presentazione del libro “Genesis-The Lamb”, di Mino Profumo.

Nel Maggio del 2019 è nato il "RealDreamers Official Fan Club", ad opera di Filippo Gaggero e Chiara Cecchi.

Il repertorio comprende molti brani del periodo 1970/1977, e alcune incursioni nel periodo successivo, oltre all’esecuzione integrale dal vivo degli album “Foxtrot”, del 1972, “Selling England by the pound”, del 1973, e del concept album “The lamb lies down on Broadway”, del 1974.

Durante i concerti del 2021/2022 la band ha presentato due differenti spettacoli: “Genesis Dream”, dedicato al periodo 1971/1975 (da molti considerato l’epoca aurea, la più affascinante e originale della formazione inglese, durante la quale il cantante del gruppo era Peter Gabriel), e “Nursery Dream”, che prevede l’esecuzione integrale dell’album del 1971, che inaugurò la formazione storica a cinque dei Genesis.

Nel 2022/2023 la band ha presentato l’evento “Selling England by the Dream”, per celebrare il cinquantesimo anniversario dalla pubblicazione dell’album “Selling England by the pound”, che è stato proposto interamente dal vivo, oltre ad altri brani storici del repertorio del gruppo. Nel 2023, per la presentazione di questo spettacolo, il gruppo si è esibito per la prima volta fuori dai confini nazionali, al Festival Prog Tower Live Concert, a Losone (Svizzera).

Nel 2024 il gruppo proporrà dal vivo l'esecuzione integrale dell'album "The lamb lies down on Broadway", in occasione del cinquantesimo anniversario dalla sua uscita pubblicazione.

Lo spettacolo dei Real Dream prevede una riproposizione il più possibile fedele della musica del gruppo inglese, tanto sul piano esecutivo, quanto nell’ambito della ricerca dei suoni. Una particolare attenzione è dedicata anche all’aspetto scenografico, con l’utilizzo di maschere e costumi che richiamano i celebri travestimenti adoperati negli anni Settanta dal cantante Peter Gabriel.

In 2019 the new singer, Paolo Tenerini, joined the group. The first concert with the new line-up was held on February 9, 2019 at the Teatro Carignano in Genoa, and obtained a wide consensus from the public and critics.

In May 2019 the "RealDreamers Official Fan Club" was born, by Filippo Gaggero and Chiara Cecchi. The repertoire includes many songs from the 1970/1977 period, and some forays into the following period, as well as the complete live performance of the albums "Foxtrot", 1972, "Selling England by the pound", 1973, and the concept album "The lamb lies down on Broadway", 1974.

During the 2021/2022 concerts, the band presented two different shows: "Genesis Dream", dedicated to the period 1971/1975 (considered by many to be the golden age, the most fascinating and original of the English formation, during which the lead singer of the group was Peter Gabriel), and "Nursery Dream", which provides for the complete performance of the 1971 album, which inaugurated the historic five-piece Genesis formation. In 2022/2023 the band presented the "Selling England by the Dream" event, to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the release of the album "Selling England by the pound", which was proposed entirely live, as well as other historical songs from the group's repertoire. In 2023, for the presentation of this show, the group performed for the first time outside the national borders, at the Prog Tower Live Concert Festival, in Losone (Switzerland).

In 2024, the group will perform live the complete performance of the album "The lamb lies down on Broadway", on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of its publication. Real Dream show envisages a reproposition as faithful as possible of the music of the English group, both on an executive level and in the field of sound research. Particular attention is also dedicated to the scenographic aspect, with the use of masks and costumes that recall the famous disguises used in the seventies by the singer Peter Gabriel.
